On September 23, 2019 Professor Ruffolo is going to speak at the Convention and Round Table dedicated to the topic “Innovation in healthcare: the role of Artificial Intelligence”, organized by the University of Bari. Several others authoritative experts of the field are going to take part to the event, including physicians, engineers and entrepreneurs.
In particular, Prof. Ruffolo’s speech will focus on the multiple implications of the employment of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare: from the complex ethical and legal issues concerning liability (for physicians, health facilities, hospitals and manufacturers of new medical devices) to the questions related to data processing and the new frontiers of human enhancement, with related deontological problems and issues of the individual’s freedom to dispose of his/her own body.
