The implementation of various forms of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare is constantly growing, expanding from automated diagnostics, especially as far as radiology is concerned, to the “robo-surgeon” and “smart” prostheses. This scenario raises important question, both ethical and legal, also in terms of liability (for healthcare facilities, for practitioners and for manufacturers of medical devices).

The issue will be discusses at the Academy of Science, Literature and Arts of Modena on November 25, 2019, in a seminar during which Prof. Ruffolo will give a speech titled “Legal implications: the lawyer’s point of view”.
